Homegrown black Angus cows are naturally born and raised organically in our pastures and spend their life freely roaming the pristine Sierra Nevada foothills and ranch range.
Our beef is raised organically, but the USDA National Organic Standards states that in order to be labeled organic, the meat must be processed at a certified organic meat processing plant. The State of California is very limited with organic processing plants and they process beef along side with poultry and pigs. We prefer a mono processing structure and believe in supporting our local processing plant. We comply with the National Organic Standards by marketing, labeling, and sell our beef as raised organically.
